CAUTION: I strongly suggest that you do not use online guest list registers such as those found on wedding planning websites. It can be a nightmare to get your list off their website and into a usable format for addressing.

Instructions: If you have not typed your guest list yet, today is a good day to get started. All guest lists MUST be submitted to us in a digital format. If you don't want to type your list check in your phone directory for a typing service in your area. (or try to hire a college student, they could always use the extra cash.) Make sure you proof the list throughly before submitting it. DO NOT submit a list to us that you know is not complete. Do not plan to submit a list that is almost complete to "get us started on the addressing" and then feed us more names a little at a time as you get the addresses. That is not how the process works. When we address your envelopes we do them all at once. Once you submit your list to us for printing you are done for Batch 1. Any remaining addresses that you come up with or corrections will be taken care of in Batch 2. See our Batch 2 policy here.

Before you submit your guest list, make sure you have read and understand all the information found on the menu at the left under the addressing section.

I also have an etiquette page for your reference here.

Your list must be submitted to us in either a word processor, or spreadsheet file. If you did not use one of our templates that is ok, as long as the list meets the following requirements:

WORD PROCESSOR FORMAT
The guest list should be typed like the following:

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
12356 Maple Drive
San Diego, California 98569
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Janie and Joey (children's names if applicable)

Mr. Chris Barnes
3265 Oak Road, Apartment 261
Apple Valley, Ohio 45698
Mr. Barnes and Guest

Next Record and so on...

Close variations of this are acceptable, as long as you keep one single column straight down. If you have created two columns using Tabs the data will have to be re-worked. It may look orderly when it's on the screen and printed, but from a data standpoint - it's a mess. Do not use tables.

Download a sample of a word processor format.

SPREADSHEET FORMAT TO FOLLOW - To get an idea of what we are looking for, download one of the templates and open it. The main points for working with spreadsheets are:

Don't use wrapped text or merged cells

If your zipcode is in it's own column make sure the column is formatted to "TEXT", or you will lose leading zeros when the envelopes print. If you have previously typed in the numbers before changing the setting, the leading zeros will probably disappear and you will have to go back and re-type them.

Always work from the left across to the the right . Every time you go down to the next row it will be for a whole new envelope set.
City State Zip can all be in one cell, each does not have to broken into separate cells.
Title First and Last Name can all be in one cell, they do not have to broken into separate cells
Make sure you include the information for the inner envelopes

Download a sample of a spread sheet format.

If in doubt, email us your guest list as you have it and we can tell you if anything needs to be worked on.

SAVE YOUR GUEST LIST FILE WITH YOUR NAME AS THE FILE NAME

For Example: "DebbieBarnes.xls" DO NOT save it as "WeddingGuestList.xls" or some other generic name.

When you are finished email the file as an attachment to:
